So I've made it to 26 without ever needing to drive, thanks to my bike. I still don't, but thanks to the 'competitive' jobs situation out there I need a licence. I'm looking for an instructor and was wondering if anyone has recently learnt to drive. It'd be nice to have a 'cyclist friendly' instructor too- I've heard they exist.

Three years and 50 deaths after Eilidh was run over and killed by a lorry at Notting Hill Gate her friends, family, politicians, campaigners and press are gathering on Sunday 5th February at 2 pm to remember Eilidh and others who have been killed by lorries, to lay flowers and photographs and launch a new SeeMeSaveMe campaign website which seeks to improve cyclists' safety through the elimination of blind spots.

There will be words from Kate, Eilidh's Sister, Jenny Jones and various other campaigners followed by drinks in All Bar One across the road from the Ghost bike.

We hope you can make it. It would be great to have LFGSS people there.

So while cycling through the roads of London on Wednesday with our new system we came across a lot of friendly faces mostly from the circuit. We weren't hard to spot what with a couple of banners, pedicabs and peeps handing out branded sweets for a new radio station.

But anyways, for anyone that heard/saw us, what did you think? Always interested in feedback for future upgrades etc.

There is a limited range of sizes and all those left are in men's sizes I'm afraid.

There are 48 in total, 25 of which are the stock I had planned for and 23 of which are the ones the printers got wrong (See the last two photos); they were supposed to be navy blue on grey instead of ecru/cream on grey. All of them are listed below.

The price is £15 each (postage included), or £12 (also postage included) for the 'wrong' ones. It didn't seem right to charge full price for these, even though they do actually look good.

Has anyone had experience with buying these, and finding no silver printed logos/lettering on them? I bought some this week from a reputable online shop, who's listing states:

NJS Certified Now, they don't say that they're MKS Fit Alphas on the website, but do say they are NJS certified. Also, until today they had a photo showing the usual silver lettering/NJS logo but that seems to have gone today (they've also bumped the price up to £40).

All images I can find online of either the NJS Fit Alpha Sport or non NJS Fit Alpha Spirit double straps suggest they should have silver lettering on them, which mine don't. They do however have MKS metal clips with "Fit Alpha" (alpha mathematical symbol) on them:



The price I paid (£35), I was hoping these would be a bargain, but perhaps not. I think I may have just paid a reasonable price for non-NJS straps. I'm just slightly concerned about the lack of any other branding. Obviously the lack of NJS stamp means they're not NJS, so they shop's product listing is incorrect. The packaging was printed up as MKS etc...

I'm coming to the end of collecting all the bits for my Leader 722ts build. Naturally money's running short. I need the following if you peeps have it. (Yes I am using the search function & sending Pms etc, but i thought i'd put this out as well, expediency n all)

1 Gatorskin Tyre 700x23
1 Pedals, Flat, something can put velcro straps on.
1 Chain, Track, Half link, whatever would go on a fixed 1/8 i think ...(I've a Miche Primato chainset)

And.. (this one's a luxury so not THAT important) Some bolts, gold bolts, for a Thomson Elite MTB stem. Even a Gold clamp if you have it.

Basically gona be all black bike, and subtle touches of gold...

Anyway, I'm in SE1 can come collect anywhere in London, or meet central. thanks.
