The bottom screenshot of our friend Simon and Sean Martin of TOLA/Chubby Boob fame was taken moments before Sean falls victim to the infamous fixie trap! This isn't the first time Sean's gotten tricked into riding a shitty fixie. The aftermath could not be posted here but everyone at GSC and Tracko wanted to wish Sean a speedy recovery.

I hear John Prolly may have had something to do with this particular trap, word in the #fixiefamous world says John has been fearful of his #fixiejesus title for sometime now and wanted Sean out of the picture.

but I could get down with these. Too bad the Khaki sold out in 2 seconds!

The city rider's journey can be as perilous as it is rewarding but we all know those moments when the evening ride home gives you that scintillating feeling. A view across a bridge or down a tree-lined street, the twinkling lights at night or the morning mist lifting. The art of city riding is as visual as it is physical.

name is blowing up the blogesphere at the moment from his recent work with Giro and photographer Brian Vernor. I figured I'd share this from Ibis!



One of the resons we're excited about our new website is because we got to work with illustrator extraordinaire Chris McNally. Chris is an old school Ibis owner/rider, and we love his illustration style.

Our old site was illustration heavy, and we wanted to contine that tradition. Chris sent us a nice water color of his Ibis Single Speed all packed up for a trip (above). And we loved it. So we commissioned Chris to do an illustration or two for the new website. As he fed us work, we liked what we saw so much that we locked Chris in a room and made him draw for weeks on end. It was a foggy summer in his home town (San Francisco) anyway, so Chris really didn't miss much, and saved a lot of money not buying sun screen this summer.

The Bicycle Tourist Cookbook. This book was published in 1979. It’s an amazing manual/recipe collection on cooking during a bicycle tour. The Adventure Cycling website rereleased this book in a PDF format so everyone could enjoy this classic. You can download a copy from the link above. Happy meals equal happy trails.

We're super stoked to let you know that we are upping our handlebar game with this newest edition to the AC parts family, the Save The Track Bike (STTB) drop bar. These are a traditional deep track bar, of which Kyle Kelley proprietary of Golden Saddle Cyclery and Trackosaurusrex said "it looks pretty good." These are named with Kyle's suggestion after his Save The Track Bike button campaign.
