I am getting pretty tire of this Summer... endless heat wave, day after day of 99*F to 100*+ temps, high humidity filled days with little to no rain, a dead yard full of weeds and $200+ electric bills to keep the house cool.
Longer days for me just seem to be full of work

and way less playtime
Bring Autumn... or even Winter back. i get to ride way more in those months then i get to do in the summer

Well.... I did make some time for a ride!Enjoying the cool temps today

my choices were:1.) spend an hour+ in the car to ride some Pisgah trails2.)hit the SORBA group ride @ Paris Mt. have a bunch of people waiting on my slow ass.3.) hit Issaqueena

#3 was the selection. a good solo ride at Issaqueena is just what i needed, i haven't been there a while. Dam Road trail> Pine Tree alley>Dam Rd> Issaqueena Lake tr> Willow Springs tr> Issaqueena Lake rd.> Vomit tr.> Dalton rd.> Chainbreaker> Dalton rd.> Wounded Knee tr> Lawrence Tr.> Indian Springs tr>Hardwoods tr> Fin
Lake Trail is just one of the best scenic trails out there

Chainbreaker used to be such a fun trail, then after the tornado that destroyed the lower 2/3's of the trail last year. Riding through thorny vines and weeds just isn't the same as what used to be old forest hardwoods (Pics of the Damage & Cleanup)

If you squint a little, some sections kind of remind me of Pisgah.


Yeah it's been a while since i've ridden out there... they even have signs on some of the main trails.

then it was time for some great post ride refreshments

and a kickass Triple Lindy burrito from Moe's

followed by a nice cool down thunderstorm

with some much needed rain!

'bout tired of this little shit bird attacking my car, spends all day, every day attacking the sideview mirrors of the short bus, shitting all over the place... at first it was kind of funny to watch, but after a week of the bird dropping all over the windows, doors and mirrors... i'm getting kind of tired of it... Even with the mirrors folded inward only makes the shit worse. The wife started bagging her mirrors.

Today after work meeting with Ty from G'ville Rec about some possible mountain bike park opportunities off of the Swamp Rabbit Trail, then over to Mr. Salsa's for some Foo Foo Frozen Mexican refreshments with Tomato and Chip. then it was over to hit The Community Tap for some weekend good brews. Where is it? 205 Wade Hampton Greenville about a block and a half from the HandleBar
